Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes Book Discussion for Ages 9-12
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is the story of a Japanese girl who develops leukemia after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II. Ages 9-12 are invited to a discussion of Eleanor Coerr?s book and related historical events, as well the significance of Sadako?s story to people in Japan and throughout the world. The program will conclude with a paper crane folding craft.
