Each year, organizations across America are encouraged to plan events in celebration of National Make a Difference Day, which falls on the last Saturday in October. The Civic Committee of The Goodlettsville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Goodlettsville schools commemorates this day with the Annual Recycling Day. All members of our great community are encouraged to recruit friends and neighbors to save their recyclable items to be donated on Saturday, October 27th between the hours of 8:00 am and Noon. Items can be donated at the Goodlettsville Recycling Center at 215 Cartwright Street the day of the event.
All participants will be greeted with food, fun and the opportunity to win prizes that include but are not limited to a gift certificate from Signature Cleaners valued at $25, two free dinners from Captain D’s, a free family value pack from Whitt’s Barbecue, an 18” sub sandwich from Giant Subs and much, much more. Each child attending will receive free fries from McDonalds and the child enlisting the most participants to donate items on Recycling Day will receive a free party room or the use of the pool for a party at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Goodlettsville. Liz the Clown will also be there so please feel free to bring your camera and make pictures.
