DESCRIPTION:Goodlettsville Mayor John Finch   and helpers   display one of the shovels decorated by the children for use in a ceremony on Monday\, June 28\, at 11:00 a.m. that will mark the start of construction on the new Goodlettsville Branch Library at 205 Rivergate Parkway\, next to Goodlettsville Elementary School. The Goodlettsville Branch Library is part of the Nashville Public Library system. More than a dozen shovels used in flood clean-up efforts in Goodlettsville were scrubbed spotless by city officials and then decorated by children participating in the summer camp program of the Goodlettsville Parks & Recreation Department.   The current library on Old Brick Church Pike has served the Goodlettsville community since 1968. Civic leaders\, librarians\, teachers\, elected officials and library-lovers from Nashville and Goodlettsville will participate in the June 28 ceremony. The public is invited to attend.
